English Of Course! es una academia de inglés fundada el año 2017 dirigida por Laura Marks y Maribel Bel, dos mujeres jóvenes que creamos este proyecto hace más de cinco años por nuestra pasión tanto a la enseñanza de este idioma como a la cultura inglesa. La idea surgió en un encuentro informal de compañeras de trabajo, en el que empezamos a imaginar cómo sería tener nuestra propia academia. Y los sueños, con perseverancia y trabajo, se acaban cumpliendo: English Of Course! se ha convertido en una academia de referencia cercana y familiar, que cuenta con un equipo de profesoras altamente profesionales y cualificadas, ubicada en l’Hospitalet de Llobregat.
Ofrecemos cursos para niños, adolescentes, adultos y empresas. Además, somos un centro preparador de exámenes Cambridge. Con un índice de aprobado del 100%, preparamos para los niveles de STARTERS, MOVERS y FLYERS. KET, PET, FCE, CAE y CPE. También tenemos cursos de conversación a medida y clases one-to-one.

Laura Marks
Founder and Director
I consider myself very lucky, as I come from a mixed family, English and Spanish. Some of my best memories are from the summer holidays when I was little and it was time to visit my grandparents in Manchester, England. Are you familiar with the sweet sherbet? Have you ever had a Sunday roast? Have you tried the lovely scones with clotted cream and jam for afternoon tea by the river in Chester? I’ve had amazing experiences that have shaped who I am today and that is what I want to pass on to the students in my own school.
Because of my early interest in English, I took the Cambridge English Qualifications Exams and also the CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) from the University of Cambridge. For more than 10 years I have worked as a teacher and coordinator in many English-speaking schools and academies in Barcelona and in Bournemouth, England. Back in 2017 I decided to put all my knowledge and experience into practice at English Of Course!
Maribel Bel
Founder and Director
Languages in general and English in particular have been my main interest since I started school. Maybe it is because I grew up being bilingual (speaking Catalan and Spanish), that I have a special love for languages. English, of course, is the language that attracts me the most and that is why I decided on studying for the Translation and Interpretation degree and later the MA in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), which I passed with Distinction at the University of Liverpool.
During the four years my degree lasted, I volunteered tutoring children with learning problems. Furthermore, every summer I worked as a leisure instructor and coordinator in an English summer camp in Spain. It was then that I realized how much I enjoyed teaching and how useful I could be for children. Once my Degree was finished, I was given a post as the Spanish Language Assistant in the Wallace High School in Lisburn, Northern Ireland and then as a Business Teacher in Liverpool. Back in Barcelona, I started coordinating language schools and leading groups of teachers, where I gained enough experience to run my own school.
